Ashley Connell - Macbeth

Ashley Connell (she/her) is a proud graduate of Bennington College, along with the Conservatory, Music, and Directing Programs at Second City. She directs, teaches, writes, performs and lives in Chicago, Illinois with her cat and life partner Gremlin. She performs with Improvised Sitcom and is a co-founder of Three of Cups theatre company.

Erin Olson - Lady Macbeth

Erin M. Olson (she/her) is originally from Rhode Island, where she received her BFA in Theatre at the University of Rhode Island. She spent another decade there, performing in shows like The Miracle Worker (Kate) and Inherit the Wind (Rachel) before moving to Chicago to attend the Second City Conservatory. In the years since graduating from that program she has produced multiple shows throughout the city (Live Nude Girls, PJPRTY, The Drunken Seagull) and performed in several improv groups (Least Coast, Free Buddy, Baleen). For the last year and a half she has also performed the role of Sister in the 30 year Chicago staple Late Nite Catechism. Playing Lady MacBeth is a check mark on her "dream roles" list, and she is excited to share the stage with this group of talented people. If you have questions about her two orange cats, Moosh and Chester, she is willing to speak about them at length after the show.

Abby Hadel - First Witch

Abby (she/her) is a Kansas City native with a background in comedy, voiceover, commercial work, and—obviously—theater. She has the distinct honor of performing around the city and will be debuting her full-length musical "Manspider" at the end of the year (shout out to co-creator Liz Jarmer). Stevie Dionne - Second Witch/Makeup Design

Stevie Dionne (open pronouns) is so excited to be part of Macbeth as both a cast member and as Makeup Designer. Stevie graduated from Rhode Island College with a B.A. in Theatre and has been performing in Improv and Sketch comedy for over 10 years in both Providence and Chicago. They are a founding member of Three of Cups Theatre Company and can be found performing all over the city at iO Theater (Improvised Housewives and Stank!), The Second City (Improvised Sitcom and Insomniac Variety Hour), and The Annoyance (Baby Wine). They also have performed in the SNL Showcase at iO Theater, and co-wrote and starred in the web series Performance Improvement Plan. When not performing, you can likely catch them playing TTRPGs, drinking concerning amounts of Diet Coke, or going on a long walk wearing headphones that are a little too noise cancelling. Stevie is represented by Grossman and Jack.

Mandy Leavell - Third Witch

Mandy Leavell (she/her) is a Chicago-based improviser and a founding member of Three of Cups Theatre Company. She is so thankful to the cast, crew, and community in their support and enthusiasm for the company's inaugural production of Macbeth; it's truly been a dream to see it all come to life. In the world of comedy, she can be seen performing with Trigger Happy, Baby Wants Candy, and Improvised Sitcom.

Leo LaCamera - Banquo/Hecate

Leo (he/him) is excited for another opportunity to perform Shakespeare! In his more common stage adventures, he can be seen doing Musical Improv with TMI at the Annoyance, or sketch comedy as a part of Horse Show, and he would love to tell you what that is if you're curious. He would like to thank everyone involved in this production as well as you for coming to see it!

Will Nicholson - MacDuff

Will Nicholson (he/him) is a performer, comedian, writer, and game enthusiast based out of Chicago. Originally from Little Rock, Arkansas, Will has been performing on stage for over 20 years and has over 10 years of musical improv experience. You can see Will improvising with RIFF: Music Improv Party, Lost Realms, and Dinner Detective. He also the director of Oops All Bards: An Improvised D&D Musical and has appeared on the podcasts Femmes Reading Filth, Charm Scene, and Bite Sized. Some of his favorite stage credits include Claudio (Much Ado About Nothing), Man in Chair (The Drowsy Chaperone), Brutus (Julius Caesar), and Moritz (Spring Awakening). When not on stage, Will can be found playing games with friends and on Twitch and making silly voices.

Olivia Jackson - Captain/Lady MacDuff/Young Siward

Olivia Jackson (she/her) is a Chicago-based actor and comedian originally from Bellevue, IA. You can see her every Saturday at iO Theater in Whirled News Tonight and The Creamboy Show. Other recent credits include Off the Deep End (Writer/Ensemble), Stone Soup Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Helena/Bottom) and Hamlet (Ophelia/Claudius).

Natalie Younger - King Duncan/Siward

Natalie Younger (she/they) is delighted to be a part of Three of Cups' inaugural production! Recent stage credits include A Bright Room Called Day (Blank Theatre), Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson (Three Brothers) and comedy-horror film Bride of the Killer Pinata. Off-stage/screen, Natalie is an Emmy award-winning writer and producer at The Banditry Co., a local animation and VFX studio. Ateeq Rehman - Malcolm

Ateeq Rehman (he/him) is a comedian from Chicago (ok, the suburbs) and a 2024 Second City Victor Wong Fellow. He performs sketch, improv, and stand-up with Best of Annoyance Sketch, Creamboy, and Stir Friday Night—the longest-running Asian American comedy troupe. He’s done stand-up at Zanies, Laugh Factory, Don’t Tell Comedy, and the Just For Laughs showcase. Named a Top Chicago Queer Comedian of 2024, he’s also been featured on the QEZ Podcast. This is his first play! Please don’t tell him if it shows. Follow him @ateeqmr; he'd like to quit his day job.

Maria Inés Manuel - Donalbain/Caithness/Doctor

Maria Inés Manuel (they/she) is a recent Musical Theatre graduate from Columbia College Chicago. They hail from Sin City, Las Vegas. Their performances at Columbia College include: A short film titled Nothing But the Truth (Gabbi), and plays: Tango Palace (Leopold) The Nether (Woodnut), Dance Nation (Sofia US), and Bat Boy (Ruthie/Bat Dancer). They love the absurdity of Beckett and hope that you’ll love this version of Macbeth!

Sara Costello - Ross

Sara Costello (she/her) is an actor, writer, improviser, and paranormal hobbyist. You may have last seen her performing with her bilingual improv team, FrogProv, or heard her on recordings of Warren Dailey’s “The Perfect Podcast” or Michael Lewis’ “Dr. Fix Me.” Her solo show, “Saranormal Activity,” jump-started her content creation under the same name on Chicago’s dark history, local haunted places, and more. She’s delighted to be back onstage in one of the Bard’s spookiest plays, working with such a talented and dynamic team.

Miranda Coble - Angus

Miranda Coble (she/her) is thrilled to get back onstage with this fantastic project! She bills herself as a multidisciplinary artist focused on directing, lighting and sound design with a splash of acting. Miranda has trained with Moscow Art Theater and SITI Company, where her love for physical theater only grew. Some favorite credits include Twelve Angry Jurors (Director), Lightning Thief (Director), Titus Andronkids! (Tammy), and Poor People! (Sound Designer). She has had the pleasure of working with Lifeline, Facility Theater, Hell in a Handbag, Mudlark Theater, Corn Productions, Cleveland Public Theater, and the Cleveland Shakespeare Festival.

Bianca Thompson- Lennox/Fight Captain

Bianca Thompson (she/they) is a queer, Filipino-American actor, dancer, singer/songwriter, teaching artist, and intimacy/fight choreographer originally from Boston, Massachusetts. She has a B.S. in Theatre from Skidmore College and has trained with Shakespeare and Company, SITI Company, and The Actors Gymnasium. They are a company member and resident choreographer of the interactive dance spectacle Queer Dance Freakout with whom they have performed as a guest artist for The Fly Honey Show at Thalia Hall and in The LookOut Series at Steppenwolf. Other performance credits include Monroe in Funny, Like an Abortion (Chicago Danztheatre Ensemble/Fat Theatre Project), Usher in Everybody (Santa Fe Playhouse), and Praxagora in the workshop of ASSEMBLYWOMXN (Young Krones). Rose James - Fleance/Son Macduff/Gentlewoman

Rose James (she/her) is so happy to be joining Three of Cups in their production of Macbeth! Her recent credits include: maenad from The Bacchanal with Fowl Play Theatre, scaring people at Midnight Terror Haunted House and Beneatha from Raisin in the Sun with Hattiloo Theatre.

Hannah Baker - Director

Hannah Baker (she/her) is a director, writer, educator, and occasional improvisor based in Chicago, IL. She is a graduate of Skidmore College with a B.S. in Theater, as well as a graduate of the Second City Conservatory. She is a co-founder of Three of Cups Theatre Company and is continuously learning new ways to think about and create theatre from her amazing Chicago artistic community. Hannah is originally from Nashville, TN, where she learned to love theatre, music, and sweet tea. Don't ask about her cat, Mildred, unless you are prepared to see a lot of photos.

Melissa Jane Carlson - Assistant Director/Costume Design

Melissa Jane Carlson (she/her) is a director, teaching artist, puppeteer, and all-around theatre maker. Born and raised in Nashville, TN, Melissa Jane is an alum of Belmont University and the National Theater Institute, where she studied the arts of directing, design, dance, and doing it all on very little sleep. Her favorite credits include Swan Mother in "The Worm My Sister" (Meat Machine/Red Orchid Incubator); director of "The Visit" and "Horse Girls" (BU); assistant director and apprentice text coach for "A Midsummer Night’s Dream" (Nashville Shakespeare); and playwright of "The Beekeepers: A Southern Fabulation" (NTI, Woven Theatre). Melissa Jane can often be found singing karaoke and befriending strange cats.

Kacey Lindeman - Stage Manager

Kacey Lindeman (she/her) is a Chicago-based writer, producer, and stage manager specializing in comedy and new work. Stage Management credits include Summer of Stories (PlayMakers Laboratory), Seeking Representation (DePaul University), Passage (DePaul University), Jules Astaire’s Variety Show (Annoyance Theatre), The WHARP (Annoyance Theatre), Florida Man/I'll Never Lie Again (Annoyance Theatre), and She Told Me She Loved Me and the Next Day She Died (Annoyance Theatre). She has served as Head of Stage Management for Mess Fest Comedy Festival, and co-written/produced two musicals: Alpha and Omega: a Parody Musical, and Blow the Man Down.

Abby Beggs has been looking at lights since birth and working in theatre since she was 18. Ramona Rotten- Set Design

Ramona Rotten (she/her) is a multidisciplinary artist and writer based in Chicago, IL, where she serves as the artistic director of Meat Machine Theatre. Her work spans experimental theatre and performance art, exploring themes of voyeurism, embodiment, and the fluid roles of spectator and participant. Fascinated by the obscure, obscene, and strange, Rotten’s art pushes the boundaries of what performance can be. She has dedicated her career to interrogating the roles of control and spectacle, and how these dynamics shape both the performance and the audience’s experience.

Sophia Wolbach - Sound Design/Production Intern

Sophia Wolbach (they/them) is delighted to be a part of the team at Three of Cups this summer. They are a student at Bennington College studying theatrical production design.

Austin Halter - Fight Choreography

Austin Halter (he/him) is an Advanced Actor Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors and trains with Open Gate Movement Arts. A founding member and the resident Fight Director of Fowl Play, he brings a collaborative, story-driven approach to stage violence. Austin is incredibly excited to return to Macbeth, a play that continues to challenge and inspire him as a choreographer.

Jared Son - Fight Choreography

Jared (he/they) is excited to be a part of the team for Three of Cups Theatre Company’s MacBeth. They recently worked with Fowl Players’ on Bacchanal as a fight assistant, ensemble member, and deviser; and with The Veil Theatre on The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe as a Fight Choreographer. Jared studied Theatre Performance at Northwestern University and has been getting fight training through Open Gate Movement and The Actors Gym.
